FAQs

What accommodation options are available?

Moyvalley Hotel has a mix of accommodation options.

Balyna House: There are a limited number of rooms in the main house. These will be available for immediate family. Reservation of these rooms will be organised by Niki and Seamus (mostly Niki tbh).

Self-catering Cottages: There are a number of 2-bed cottages on-site. The wedding rate applies to the cottages.

Hotel Rooms: There are a variety of rooms available at Moyvalley Hotel. The wedding rate applies to double rooms in the hotel.

You can reserve a cottage or hotel room by calling (+353 46 954 8000) or emailing (reservations@moyvalley.com) the hotel and mentioning that you are attending our wedding.

Where should I park?

There is plenty of free parking available at the hotel.

Can I get to the Moyvalley Hotel using public transport?

As with anything in rural Ireland, the answer is not really. The easiest way to get there for those without a car is to take the train to the Enfield train station and then it is a short taxi ride from there.

Freenow is the most popular ride-hailing service.

Are kids welcome?

Alongside our lovely nieces and nephews, anyone travelling internationally to attend our wedding is welcome to bring their children. Please let us know in advance so we can ensure the catering staff prepare a child’s meal. Similarly, anyone with a newborn or small baby (<1yr), feel free to bring your little one with you. Just let us know in advance.

Will everything take place on-site at Moyvalley Hotel?

Yes, the ceremony and reception will take place on-site.

The ceremony will take place in the Stone House. You can access this via the hotel's courtyard. It is well signposted by the hotel.

Following the ceremony, we will take a short walk over to Balyna House for the drinks reception, dinner and dancing.

Post-midnight drinks and merriment will continue downstairs in Balyna House at the Cellar Bar.

Fear not, the hotel, cottages, Stone House and Balyna House are all within short walking distance of each other.

Is there a way I can share dietary restrictions in advance of the day?

There is a section on the RSVP to share dietary restrictions and preferences.

Are ye having a Day 2?

Nah!

Seamus and Niki will be on-site the day before if anyone is arriving early and would like to say hi!

Will Al be there?

He will not. Sadly he does not believe in marriage. He went on a bit of a rant about the commodification of women and the nature of historic property ownership. Bit of a spoilsport to be honest.

Will Seamus be wearing a tie?

Suppose so.

How has wedding planning been?

I don’t plan on doing it twice.

I have a question that was not answered here.

You can email - Wedding@SeamusAndNiki.com
Or just drop a message to either Seamus or Niki on WhatsApp. Niki’d probably respond faster.
